It’s been very difficult, but I know where I want to be in the end. I try to take everything in stride. It’s been rough, but thank God I was able to persevere.

After several stops and starts in her college education, GTCC student Joanne Martin, 52, will graduate in May with a degree in nursing.

I gathered my family together to open the decision and when the Tiger emblem came up on the screen, I was so excited. It was such a good feeling, a full ride to my dream school.

Jorge Suarez gives much credit for his success to his decision to attend the GTCC Middle College and the instructors he had while there.

I still don’t know why she showed up; she just appeared. I just truly believe it was meant for me to go to nursing school. I believe the good Lord helped me through.

Cheryl Moore quit her job and earned a nursing degree from GTCC in her 40s with the help of an inspirational instructor.

Basketball player volunteers time to community by combining his passion with the Out of the Garden Project

Sameer Qureshi has proven a valuable student and community member in his time at GTCC. As a member of the men's basketball team, Qureshi spent last summer combining his passion for basketball with his love for the community to volunteer and give back.
