TransTech has partnered with Guilford Technical Community College (“GTCC”) and Education To Go (“ed2go”) to develop an on-line training program for employees. The program has been established to provide our employees with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills in areas of interest to the company and/or to the employee. There is no cost to the employee to take any of the courses in the program.
- Our Certificate Programs are designed to provide employees with training that would be helpful in their position at TTP, or as training for roles he/she may have an interest in. A supervisor might suggest that an employee complete a particular Certificate Program as part of their professional development. Upon successful completion of a Certificate Program, TransTech, along with GTCC, will award a Certificate as evidence of mastery in that topic.
- Elective Courses are optional courses that can be taken in addition to, or instead of the Certificate Programs. These courses will enhance your expertise in a subject that might be helpful in your current job or as a way to broaden skills that would be useful to the company. A supervisor might suggest that an employee take a particular Elective Course to provide a skill set necessary to complete a particular project or as an enhancement to the employee’s individual skills. These Elective Courses are taken as stand alone courses and do not require you to participate in the Certificate Program. However, most of the courses offered from the list of electives are included in one or more of the Certificate Programs.
