Curriculum: Daily Schedule for Infants

The GTCC Children’s Center is a 5-star child care facility that is located on the Jamestown campus. We are housed in the Service Careers Building. The Center is open from 7:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. We care for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years.

Daily Schedule for Infants

7:00 - 8:15	Greet children and parents; naps, feedings and diaper changes as needed per child throughout the day; get things put away and child settled for parent departure; free play before breakfast.
8:15 - 9:00	Wash hands for breakfast Breakfast served
9:00 - 10:00	Scheduled diaper check and change as needed; Bottles or naps as needed.
10:00 - 11:00	Outdoors or indoor gross motor play or rides in strollers around campus.
11:00 - 12:00	Wash hands for lunch; serve lunch; Scheduled diaper check and change as needed
12:00 - 2:00	Naptime for sleepy children; free play or individual activities as planned per child for others.
2:00 - 2:45	Scheduled diaper check and change as needed Directed activities such as art, music, sensory motor
2:45 - 3:30	Wash hands for snack; snack served
3:30 - 4:30	Scheduled diaper check and change as needed. Outdoor play if weather conditions permit.
4:30 - 5:30	last check for diapers and change as needed Quiet activities and prepare for departure

Handwashing for younger infants with baby wipes. Handwashing at sink for older infants.

Feedings and naps are based on each infant's needs and will occur throughout the day.

Diapers are checked every 2 hours and changed as needed.

Weather permitting is determined by the air temperature, wind chill, heat index, and active precipitation.
