Preschool 1

The preschool age is a very exciting age and they are learning things so quickly.  This classroom is for children ages 3 - 4 (not entering kindergarten for another year).  We often call this the "big room".  Children often feel like they are getting older whey they get to move to this room and they get to use "the big kid playground".  That is a big deal to them.  Children are learning to play in groups, how to be friends, and continue to progress developmentally.

The classroom is set up in many activity centers.  The children will get to explore the blocks, dramatic play, manipulatives, books and literacy, sand/water table, discovery math and science, music, computer, and writing centers.  The children will begin to have "share day" where they get to bring in something from home that is related to the theme and talk about it.  This is very exciting for the children.  The teachers will spend a great deal of time in play with your child and talking with them about what they are doing.  We believe that children learn through play and their play is exploring and discovering how things work.  This is a great classroom to explore.
