English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) or (ESL)

ESOL is for adults whose first language is not English. Students can improve their listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and writing skills. GTCC offers free Basic, Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced level courses, as well as TOEFL preparation (test of English as a foreign language) and Citizenship classes. At the High Point campus, we also offer classes that help prepare students to take the General Educational Development (GED) test in Spanish. ESOL es un programa para adultos que no hablan inglés como su primer idioma. Los estudiantes pueden mejorar su habilidad para escuchar, comunicarse, pronunciar, leer y escribir. GTCC ofrece clases gratuitas para principiantes, intermedios y avanzados, además de, preparación para el examen de TOEFL y la ciudadanía.

Para registrarse, tiene que asistir a una orientación de 3 días: lunes, martes y miércoles de las 9a-12p o de las 6p-9p. Tiene que comenzar el proceso de la orientación un lunes y llegar a tiempo. Les classes d'anglais sont pour les adultes qui ne parlent pas l'anglais comme leur première langue. Les étudiants peuvent améliorer leur aptitude pour écouter, comuniquer, prononcer, lire et écrire. GTCC offre plusieurs niveaux de classes: debutant, intermédiaire, supérieur, préparatoire au TOEFL et la citoyenneté. Toutes les classes sont  gratuites.
