Real Estate Math

The primary objectives of this course are to (1) provide you with the necessary skills to apply math in the real estate setting, and (2) to assist in preparing you for enrolling in the real estate Broker Pre-Licensing course.  The real estate math course provides basic instruction in mathematics applicable to real estate situations. Topics include:  finance calculations, interest, debt service, profit, loss, closing statements, property taxes, loan underwriting, appraisal calculations, and area computations.  Upon completion, you should be able to demonstrate proficiency in applied real estate mathematics.  This course is NOT a prerequisite but is extremely beneficial as a precursor to the Broker Pre-Licensing course, especially if math is not your strength. Textbook required and must be purchased from the campus bookstore where the course will be taught PRIOR to class.

Note to students: It is recommended to take the Math class BEFORE taking the Broker Pre-Licensing class and NOT recommended to take them simultaneously.

This course costs $128.
