Move Up the IT Career Ladder with a Cisco Certification
Cisco Systems is a highly respected world leader in networking products and services. A Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching certification is a stamp of approval for associate-level professionals interested in networking. Having a CCNA certification often means better network management job opportunities and higher pay!
The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size route and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN.
The CCNA Routing & Switching certification is earned by passing both the 640-822 ICND1 (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1) and 640-816 ICND2 (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 (ICND2) exams or by passing the 640-802 CCNA composite exam only.
As a Cisco Networking Academy instructor, Timothy Perry has been teaching students the skill sets required to pass Cisco's ICND1 and ICND2 exams (CCENT and CCNA certifications) since 2003. As a full-time instructor at GTCC, he has been nationally recognized as a recipient of the prestigious NISOD Excellence in Teaching Award.
GTCC is offering the following course to prepare students to pass Cisco's ICND2 exam and earn the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification:

Prepare to Pass Cisco's ICND2 Exam!
If you have passed the ICND1 Exam, then this course represents your final step in preparing to be awarded the Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching certification.
The ICND2 Exam tests a candidate's knowledge and skills required to successfully install, operate, and troubleshoot a small to medium size enterprise branch network. The exam covers topics on VLSM and IPv6 addressing; extending switched networks with VLANs; configuring, verifying and troubleshooting VLANs; the VTP, RSTP, OSPF and EIGRP protocols; determining IP routes; managing IP traffic with access lists; NAT and DHCP; establishing point-to- point connections; and establishing Frame Relay connections. The textbook used for this course will cover all topics that have the potential to be addressed on the exam.
Prerequisite: Typical candidates for this course have recently passed the 640-822 ICND1 exam or only need training in the topics covered by the ICND2 exam before taking the 640-802 CCNA composite exam.
