Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

MCTS is a recent addition to the Microsoft Certification family. The newer certifications have been redesigned to target and to validate in-depth knowledge and expertise in key technologies. Microsoft Certified Technology Specialists (MCTS) are consistently capable of implementing, building, troubleshooting, and debugging a specific Microsoft technology.

You can demonstrate your expertise in one specific platform and distinguish yourself or earn multiple MCTS certifications to show breadth of expertise across different technologies. For example, candidates can earn MCTS: Windows Server® 2008 Active Directory Configuration, MCTS: Windows 7® Configuring or MCTS: Microsoft Office SharePoint® Server 2007 Configuration.

Whether you are new to technology, changing jobs, or a seasoned IT professional, becoming a MCTS demonstrates to customers, peers, and employers that you are committed to advancing your skills and taking on greater challenges.
