Who May Register?

If you're 18 years old or older, you may register for a course. If you are 16 or 17 years old, you must have written permission from your high school principal. The letter of permission must be attached to the continuing education registration form found on the next page. Under the current law, North Carolina does not allow students under the age of 16 to register for Continuing
Education courses with the exception of self supporting community service courses that may be offered in the Fall.

When To Register?

You may register for a course any time up to the first day of class. However, you should register early to be sure you
get a spot in the classes you want before the classes are filled. If you do not pre-register at least three days in advance,
call the extension for the class; the list is to the left. Late registration is discouraged and you may not be allowed to enter classes after the starting date. After You Register Plan to attend the classes you registered for as scheduled. You will not be contacted unless there is a change in the class; for example, if the class is postponed or full. Dropping and Adding ClassesIf you want to drop a class and receive a refund, the amount of your refund will depend on when you drop the class. See the refund policy. If you want to add a class, you can register up until the first day of class. You can replace one course with another if they have the same registration fee by filling out a drop/add form available at GTCC.
