Correspondence Testing

Guilford Technical Community College is a member of The National College Testing Association (NCTA), which is an organization of testing professionals in post-secondary institutions and testing companies. NCTA, organized in 2000 when several regional associations merged their memberships, focuses on issues relating to test administration, test development, test scoring, and assessment.
Through this membership, we offer correspondence testing for students who are participating in programs outside of Guilford Technical Community College. This would include students taking online programs, distance education, and regular in-class students who are away from their institutions during testing periods.
Our testing facility is equipped to handle paper-pencil tests as well as online exams, in a secure, monitored environment. Correspondence testing is offered only by appointment, Monday – Thursday, exam start time between 9:00am – 3:00pm.
Appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours advance. The fee associated with proctoring a correspondence test is $10/hour. Please notify your institution to let them know that we are your testing center, and they will forward us the proctoring and testing information.

The Assessment Center will follow the college holiday and closing schedule.
