| Head Coach - Phil Gaffney |
GTCC reached unprecedented heights in their fourth season of basketball winning a record 28 games (28-4), and a Region X regular season championship, going 17-1 in conference play. The Titans finished with a #4 National ranking in the last regular season poll, the third different college team Coach Gaffney has led to a top 5 National ranking. For his efforts he was named the Region X Coach of the Year.
Gaffney comes to GTCC with a wealth of Junior College coaching experience. For seven seasons (1998- 2005 ) Gaffney lead Mohawk Valley Community College (NY) to a record of 161- 53. His teams won 4 Mountain Valley Conference Championships and were nationally ranked all seven years, including a #2 national ranking for the 1999-00 squad. Five of his players earned All- American status and his teams set sixteen school records including most wins in a season (27). Gaffney was named Region III coach of the year for three seasons (1998, 1999, 2005).
He was head coach at Columbia-Greene Community College (NY) before heading to Mohawk Valley. From 1993-97 Gaffney lead the Twins to 90 wins. His teams set seventeen school records including most wins in a season (22). His teams were nationally ranked three years including a #4 national ranking in 1994.
Previous to his head coaching stints, Gaffney worked as an assistant coach on the four year level. He was as an assistant coach at Division I University of Maryland- Eastern Shore under Indiana basketball legend Bobby Wilkerson from 1990-92. He also was a graduate- assistant coach at SUNY Brockport, a Division III school.
Gaffney resides in Jamestown, NC with his wife Jodi. His daughter Sarah assists with the Lady Titans basketball team.

| Assistant Coach - John Patty |
| Coach Patty was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois where he attended and played basketball for Prairie State College before transferring to Western Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education. He coached varsity basketball at the high school level for thirteen years posting a 190-80 record including an Illinois State Championship as well as Coach of the Year and All-Star Team coaching honors. He has coached at summer camps such as Davidson, Duke, and the Air Force Academy and is closely acquainted with individuals at both the college level and in the NBA. Coach Patty believes success on the court starts with success in the classroom. As positive leaders who play an integral part in the campus community, players must be student- athletes who apply the same work ethic, motivation, and discipline learned on the court to their academic education and ultimately, to success in life. |

| Assistant Coach - DeJuane Bowe |
| DeJuane was born in Camden, NC and moved to Greensboro, NC at age eleven. He attended Southern Guilford HS were he played JV basketball and managed the Varsity squad. DeJuane is currently a Physical Education major at GTCC. He plans on transferring to a four year school on completion of his degree next year. Coach Bowe believes in hard work, setting goals, and not letting anyone say you can’t achieve what you aspire to. |

| Student Assistant Coach - Terail LeSane |
| Coach LeSane was born in Brooklyn, NY and later moved to Greensboro, NC where he attended Walter Hines Page High School. He was a member of the football team and marching band at Page. LeSane is currently a student at GTCC where he is majoring in sociology. This is his first stint as a student assistant coach. LeSane believes with a great attitude and strong work ethic success will follow. After graduation fron GTCC he plans to transfer to a four year school and continue to follow his coaching aspirations. He lives in Greensboro and in his spare time loves to watch professional and college sports. He is an avid musician who can play the tuba and baritone. LeSane is single. |
