Confidentiality
|
In accordance with the law and with sound ethical counseling practice, specific information regarding a student's particular disability will not be shared with a third party, including faculty, without the student's express permission to do so. Students are asked to sign a release that allows the disAbility Access Services staff to discuss information with others in order to provide appropriate educational services.
NOTE: It is the student's right not to disclose specific information regarding his/her disability to his/her instructors. However, the disAbility Access Services staff encourages students to do so when appropriate. Information disclosed to the faculty by the student or disAbility Access Services staff should NOT be disclosed to any other individual without approval from the student. |
