Contractors are encouraged to submit bids or requests for proposals for Guilford Tech construction projects.
If you are not familiar with the bid process, this page will give a general overview of the process. More specific instructions are included in each bid package (posted below) and can be obtained from Dan Sitko, Director of Construction at (336) 334-4822 ext. 2553.
Visit this website and the state construction website regularly to become aware of the projects currently open for bid for Guilford Tech. Requests for bids and RFP's will also be advertised in two state-wide newspapers, and through MWBE dissemination center, as well as this website and the state construction website.
After a potential project has been identified, download the bid instructions and read them thoroughly. Contractors desiring to submit bids/RFP's for GTCC projects will need to adhere to the guidelines outlined in the bid. Failure to follow the guidelines as mandated by GTCC policy and/or the State Construction Office policy will disqualify the bid.
Be sure to have the bid submitted on time.
At the bid-opening meeting, have a company representative present. Questions about the bid may need answering at the meeting.
If the project is chosen as the winning bid by Guilford Tech and by the State Construction Office (if necessary), complete the project as outlined in the final accepted and signed bid.
