Completing this form will alert the eLearning Department that you need a site for your course.

Please realize that this form will not allow you to submit your request without a section number. If you do not know your section number, please consult your department chair or administrative assistant.

You must submit this form for every course that you wish to request.

For instance, if you need sites for COM-110 and COM-120, you must fill out a form for each course. You can request multiple sections of the same course at one time.

This form requires you to indicate your plans for orientation.

Telecourses and online courses require an orientation. Orientation may be either a face-to-face meeting or require that students send you an email. Email orientations are preferred. Details such as date, time, location of meetings and/or your preferred email address for orientation must be completed.

Some instructors want to merge several sections of the same course together into one site. You are not required to do this however; this form requires you to share your intentions about merging sections together.

Merging sections can save you time in posting assignments and announcements several times, but remember that merging sections also combines all of your students into one gradebook, requires all students to share a discussion board area and lists all of your students in the "all users" email feature.
Sections will be merged the day the semester begns. Students will be added to your section with the lowest number. For example, for COM-110 sections 02, 05 and 09, students from sections 05 and 09 will be added to 02.

Your request will take between 72 hours to one week to complete depending on our workload.

What is iTunes U?
iTunes is the most popular media browser on the Internet. iTunes U is a GTCC-branded browser that allows instructors to deliver media content to their students, and only their students. (A student must be enrolled in your course to access your audio and video content.).

iTunesU is not the best approach if you wish to give your students just one or two media files over a semester. It's ideal for distributing many media files such as videos, podcasts and enhanced podcasts. Instructors must have permission from the creator of the media file in order to load it to iTunes U.
