Testing Policies

The below policies are enforced by our Assessment Center Staff. If you are caught in violation of these policies, your instructor will be notified and you may lose the privilege of this student service. All policies are subject to the staff's judgment.

1. A photo I.D., such as a driver's license, is required each time you take a test in the Assessment Center.

2. All electronic devices must be powered off before entering the testing lab (phone, iPod, etc.)

3. Wearing hats, hoods, or sunglasses is prohibited in the Assessment Center, unless information regarding a disability and the need for accommodations has been made prior to test administration.

4. Any information regarding your test will be communicated prior to test administration.

5. No food or drinks are allowed in the testing rooms.

6. Your test and all testing materials must be surrendered to the Assessment Center staff upon request.

7. NO CHEATING.

8. You must not communicate with others (inside or outside) while testing (ex. gesturing, signing, talking, etc.).

9. When you have received your test materials, you may not leave the testing area/room.

10. Testing materials will not be shared while taking a test (calculators, scratch paper, etc.).

11. Do not sit near anyone taking the same test as you.

12. If you are chewing gum, do not pop it, blow bubbles, or snack.

13. Do not go into your bags while testing. If you need to go into your personal things, come out to the proctor station. If you are caught, you will have to turn in your test.

14. The Assessment Center follows all GTCC Policies Affecting the Delivery of Programs.

15. All tests are collected or suspended 5 minutes prior to closing.
