The College Tech Prep course of study allows students to take career-related technical courses in addition to math, science, and English requirements. Through this program, high school students begin pursuing career goals while meeting college course requirements.
To earn status as a College Tech Prep Completer, Guilford County high school students must complete 4 credits in a career/ technical sequence. College Tech Prep Completers then have multiple options including pursuing a two- or four-year degree or entering adult apprenticeship programs.
Local schools, businesses, and organizations work together ensuring that College Tech Prep students gain the knowledge, technical expertise, and work experience to achieve their career goals.

English - 4 credits Science - 3 credits Math - 3 credits Alg. I, Geometry, Alg. II
or
Alg. I, Tech Math I, Tech Math II Social Studies - 3 credits PE/Health - 1 credit
Career/Technical - 4 credits In a technical sequence including a second level advanced course.
