Greensboro Features

To program a speed dial button on a phone:
Dial 139
Select the button you wish to program
Dial the number you wish to have programmed:

  • internal extensions just dial the 4 digit extension number
  • for outside, (example your home number) dial 9 and the rest of
    the number.
  • Remember if it is a long distance number to put 9 and 1 and the area code then the number.
  • Now select the button again that you are programming to confirm.
  • Then hang up.

To remove a the red flashing light when you have no more messages:

  • Please be sure you do not have any messages before doing this.
  • Dial 17510 on your phone
  • If: The display says "List Stop"
    • Then: Dial 17510 again so that your display should read "List Start"
    • This will signal the system to notify you when you receive
      messages again

 

Assuming the extension is 2502

Direct to VM (in-house) 869-2502 or 6502

VM outside of school (334-4822; wait for greeting; 9 2502 wait for greeting 123

VM via other in-house phone
86*#/
wait for greeting/92502/wait/123# 4

CMC in display = outside caller dialled your extension directly (v. operator)

Call a pager: 297-[pager ext] - this for MIS

skip announcement message: *

delete message: 3, 1 or *, 6

back: 7 forward: 6 repeat #

direct to VM: 6 + the last three (3) digits of the extension (w/in gjt) [7 + the last three (3) digits of the extension (to HP or GJT)

VM outside of the school: 334-4822; wait for message; 9; 2502; 1234

VM via other in-house phone: 869-2502

High Point and Greensboro Campuses
1. If you have not been inform on the new procedure of setting up your mail box here it is:
I. Dial 86
II. At the Campus mail greeting dial 9 + your extension (all 4
numbers of your extension.)
III. You should hear the greeting to setup your mail box. Please
listen to the instructions carefully as it will walk you through the
process and make sure to hit "1" to save your settings other
wise it will not create your new mail box.

If you do not hear the setup greeting please call Paje Jernigan
(ext. 2554) or Susan Marshall (ext. 2226).

Here is a list of the most frequently asked questions so far and general information:

1. How to turn the message light off.
Answer: Dial 17510 then hang up.
(We are looking in to a way to not have to do this in the future.)

2. (Info): When you dial 86 to get into your mail box you are asked to enter in your passcode if you have one after you enter the code you can press 4 to by pass hearing your name.

4. To setup voice mail boxes with 3xxx number extension follow the following steps:

Dial a campus telephone number (336) 334-4822 - Greensboro
(336) 454-1126 - High Point
As soon as you hear the greeting begin:
Dial 9 + 3xxx (your four digit extension number)
(Then follow the instructions and the setup program will walk you through creating your mail box.)

Jamestown Campus ONLY forward your phones to 86. The system already recognizes your extension and does not need any thing more than 86.
