Copyright Permission Letter

Directions: Whenever a student, faculty member, or staff member wishes to use someone else's work, either in print or digital format on a GTCC website or in a GTCC online course, explicit permission must be obtained from the owner of the copyright or evidence must be provided that the materials are in the public domain.

The form below may be copied and pasted into an email message, or printed and faxed, or printed and mailed to the owner of the site and/or owner of the copyright. An emailed, faxed, or mailed reply which answers all questions fully and grants permission should be received for each request for permission to use that is sent. Once the permission form is received by the faculty member, staff member or student, copies of the permission form should be provided to appropriate persons listed below, dependent on if the permission form is a for a website or an online class.

For online Classes - Copies of the permission form should be submitted to the eLearning Coordinator.

For webpages and/or websites - Copies of the permission form should be submitted to the Chief Information Officer.
