Fall Semeter - Dental Assisting
The fall semester student starts by learning orofacial anatomy, is introduced to concepts of infection and hazard control and asepsis. The student also begins to learn about the basics of chairside assisting which includes patient assessment, instrument identification and transfer for general dental practice and a variety of specialties. The student learns intraoral radiographic principles of safety, exposure, processing and evaluation.
