Physical Therapist Assistant Student Chris Cox:
I first became interested in physical therapy while attending a local wellness center in my hometown of Boone, N.C. During my workouts I would observe physical therapist assistants working with various patients from every age group. I was amazed by the level of improvement the patients made over the course of their treatments. After a few weeks of research, and speaking with several PTA’s, I realized that the PTA program was the career path I had been searching for. Being a student in the PTA program at GTCC has allowed me the opportunity to attain a respectful and rewarding position in the field of physical therapy. My educational experience has been invaluable.
