18 Cadets to Graduate From GTCC Fire Academy

JAMESTOWN -- A class of 18 cadets will graduate from the Guilford Technical Community College Fire Academy in a ceremony at 3 p.m. Friday (June 25). The graduation will be held in the auditorium of the Koury Hospitality Careers Center.

Chief Greg Grayson of Greensboro Fire Department will be graduation speaker.

The cadets have completed 21 weeks of intense training related to firefighting, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, vehicle extrication and emergency medical technician, according to Benjamin Lunsford, fire academy coordinator.

The graduates Raymond Blue of Winston-Salem; Wesley Brame of Brown Summit; A.J. Craver, Thomas Hall and Johnathan (CQ) Watterson, all of Greensboro; Dustin Colburn of Wilkesboro; Christopher Davis of Robbins; Peter Gillen of Lewisville; Ethan Hussey of Bennett; Matthew Mills of Advance; Josh Price of Hertford; Jason Rubley of High Point; Kyle Schumacher of Jamestown; Eric Simmons of Stokesdale; Travis Sloan of East Bend; Zachary Upton of Thomasville; Austin Walker of Burlington; and Joshua Weston of Reidsville.
