Andria Walker Leads GTCC’s Balanced Offense

JAMESTOWN - Andria Walker of Burlington has emerged as both the scoring and rebounding leader of the Guilford Technical Community College women's basketball team.

Through seven games Walker is averaging 12 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest.

Coach Bobby Allison said that his Lady Titans have a "very balanced" team which is averaging 80.1 points per game. The team's defense - allowing only 51.5 points per game - has been a big asset to the team compiling a 6-1 record. The Titans' only loss was in overtime to Cincinnati State.

Other scoring leaders are Alison Cousin of Atlanta, 10.3 points per game; Amanda Campusano of Bronx, NY, 9.2; and Rhonda Young of Bronx, 7.6.

Makeea Suggs of Greenville is the top shot blocker, averaging 4.1 per game. She also is second in rebounding with 7.7 per game.

Cousin is the assists leader with an average of 8.2, followed by Young with 5.1.
