Frow Tops Award Winners with $1,000 SGA Scholarship

JAMESTOWN - Matthew Frow of High Point was awarded the $1,000 Ray Moody Leadership Scholarship at Guilford Technical Community College during a recent Student Government Association awards program.

Frow, the outgoing Student Government Association president, graduated May 13.

The scholarship is based on community involvement, the quality of student life at GTCC and having at least a 2.5 grade point average.

The club advisor of the year award went to Linda Whitlow of High Point, who is director of academic advising. She is advisor for the Rotaract Club and the College Transfer Club.

Rotaract was named the club of the year.

The Carol B. Rose SGA Representative of the Year award recipient was Michelle Austin of Pleasant Garden, promotions representative of the association.

Tonya England of High Point, administrative assistant for student life, received the SGA Thank You award. The selection was made by SGA members for the faculty or staff member who went "above and beyond" to assist students.
