GREENSBORO ADULT BASIC SKILLS BEGIN FALL CLASSES ON AUG. 8

GREENSBORO -- Fall classes for the Adult Basic Skills Program on Guilford Technical Community College's Greensboro campus, 3505 E. Wendover Avenue, will begin on Aug. 8.

All students must attend a four-day orientation and placement session before registering, according to Pat Freeman, director of basic skills on the Greensboro campus.

Orientation classes will be offered 9 a.m.-noon Monday through Thursday and 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The program is for adults who want to strengthen their basic reading, writing and math skills. This course also prepares students to take the five-part GED examination. These tests include language arts-writing, language arts-reading, social studies, science and math.  The courses also can be taken online.
