GTCC HAS RECORD SUMMER ENROLLMENT

JAMESTOWN - Guilford Technical Community College has enrolled 5,839 students for summer school, continuing the trend of a record number of students attending the 52- year-old school.

The current enrollment is a 28.3 percent increase over the 4,551 students in summer classes at GTCC last year.

Fall and spring enrollments also were at record levels, marking 12 consecutive years of increased enrollments.

There were 13,520 students enrollment last fall, an increase of 2,233 (19.8 percent); and an all-time record 13,954 students enrolled for the spring semester that just ended.
