JAMESTOWN - The "miracle" season continues for at least one more game for Guilford Technical Community College's Lady Titans basketball team. GTCC, a first-year team and with only eight players, will play Region XVII champion Middle Georgia College at 2 p.m. Saturday on the Lady Warriors' home court in Cochran, GA. The winner will get a spot in the "Sweet 16" of the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament in Selina, KA. The Lady Titans (22-7), fresh from winning the Carolinas Junior College Conference Region X tournament after tying for the regular season championship, will tackle a tough Middle Georgia team that finished regular season play at 22-4. At one point in the season, the powerful Middle Georgia team had a 12- game winning streak. The Warriors bounced back from double losses near the end of their schedule to beat Darton College 93-83 in overtime to take the tournament championship. GTCC won its tournament title by pounding defending champion Spartanburg Methodist College ,101-63, on SMC's home court. ####
