The Medical Assisting Program is a two-year Associate Degree program. We accept thirty-five (35) new students every fall semester (August). All of the program (MED) classes are presently offered during the day. However, many of the general education courses are offered in the evening and on-line. These general education (ENG, PSY, MAT) courses may be completed prior to acceptance into the program.

Placement testing is available on Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. If you place in any Developmental classes (MAT 070, ENG 090, etc.), need BIO 094 or need to take a keyboarding class, you must complete these prior to acceptance into the Fall class.
It has been reported in the US Bureau of Labor Studies that by the year 2010 Medical Assisting jobs will increase by 57%. We currently have 100% job placement for graduates of this program and average starting salary is $11.00 - $13.00 per hour. Many employers offer benefit packages which may include: vacation days, sick days (PAL/PTO), paid holidays, merit pay, Christmas bonus, disability, life, health, dental, eye insurance. Many employers provide for continuing education plus provide a uniform allowance.
