This program helps participants address recurring or serious performance problems and get an individual's performance back on track. During the session, they will complete a variety of individual and group activities, skills practices, video segments, and large group discussions that explore the following topics:

l When to conduct conversations about poor performance
l Key actions for correcting performance problems
l Planning conversations for correcting performance problems
l Practicing conversations for correcting performance problems
l Action planning

2. The consequences of delaying action to correct poor performance.
3. Performance situations that warrant corrective action.
4. The benefits of collecting background information prior to a discussion about poor performance.
5. The Key Actions for correcting performance problems and how to apply:
* Collect background information.
* Describe the performance problem.
* Mutually assess the situation.
* Agree on an action plan.
6. How to conduct focused conversations about poor performance that result in action toward improvement.
