How do I know if the class is free to Senior Citizens?
If the course code is a 3000, 4000 or 9000-level then it is a free to seniors (over 65 year old) class. For example, 9025 would be free; so would 3010. Book and supply costs are the responsibility of the senior.

My children are under 18, can they register for a non-credit course?
The state of North Carolina does not allow us to accept students under the age of 16. But if a student is 16 years or older, they must have a letter of release from their high school. This letter must be on the high school’s letterhead stating that the principal has given permission for the student to take the class. It also must be signed by the principal. This letter must accompany the registration form and payment.

Do I have to pay at the time of registration?
Yes, all payment must be made at the time of registration. We accept cash, money orders, Visa/Mastercard, personal checks (except for Defensive Driving courses).

What if I cannot attend the class, can I get a refund?
If you notify us BEFORE the class begins, you will receive a full refund. If you notify us on the 10% meeting date of the class (usually the first day/night), you will receive a 75% refund of tuition only. After the first meeting date, no refunds are issued. This refund policy is established by state legislative action (not GTCC) and is subject to change.
