Potential students are urged to apply early to ensure admission into the program. GTCC has an open-door admissions policy. The college is open to anyone 18 years of age or older or high school graduates younger the 18. Admission to GTCC does not guarantee acceptance to the EMS program - the EMS program is a limited enrollment program and has specific requirements which must be met before an applicant will be considered for admission to the program. Specific procedures for application to the EMS program are as follows:

1. Submit a GTCC admissions application.
2. Have an official high school or GED transcripts sent to the Admissions Office.
3. Have official transcripts of all college course work sent to the Admissions Office.
4. Meet with an admissions advisor to determine if any placement tests are required.
