Scholarships
|
In addition to all general financial aid opportunities, two endowed scholarships provide financial assistance to deserving EMS students. The Phil Wray Scholarship is awarded to a rising senior EMS student who exhibits academic excellence and dedication to the EMS profession. Phil was a graduate of the EMS Program, and worked for several EMS services in the region. The Karen Lynn Canada Scholarship is awarded to a rising senior EMS student for clinical excellence. Lynn served the EMS Program as a clinical preceptor, and was a flight nurse for Baptist Hospital.
Faculty to Student Ratio
For lecture classes, the faculty to student ratio is normally a maximum of 1 to 40. This is based on classroom size, and there may be situations where more students are present. For laboratory sessions, a faculty to student ratio of no more than 1 to 20 is maintained. For hospital clinical the maximum ratio is 1 to 6, and for ambulance clinical the ratio is one to one. |
