Joey Jeffers
Director of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program

Joey received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in 1987. He received a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1994. He received a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007.
Joey worked as a physical therapist at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas from 1987 to 1994. He worked at the Winston-Salem Healthcare Center from 1994 to 2001. He now practices physical therapy at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Joey became the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education for the PTA Program in 1998 and he became director in 2000.
Joey lives in Winston-Salem with his wife, Amy, and their four children- Charis, Josiah, Faith, and Ruth. |

Keith Jenkins

Keith graduated from the PTA program at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio in 1994.
Keith has worked in hospitals, outpatient clinics and skilled nursing homes throughout the country and spent three years as a traveling PTA. Keith continues to work PRN at Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro. Keith became the ACCE of the PTA program in 2000.
