Welcome to the T.H. Davis Aviation Center at GTCC, in Greensboro, NC. We are a fully accredited Community College by the Southern Association of Colleges and School offering Associate Degree, Diploma and Certificate options in both the Aviation Management and the Career Pilot curricula.
We prepare Pilot students for an FAA Pilot certification with Commercial, Instrument and additional rating s through our ground school programs and flight training in co-operation with local flight schools. Students selecting the management Option are prepared to enter the work force in a variety of areas including aircraft dispatching, FBO Management, cargo operations, state aviation departments, or as airport managers.
Graduates have found employment with local and national companies such as United Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, US Airways, Delta Airlines, Jefferson-Pilot, Old Dominion Freight, Lowes Corp., Atlantic Aero, Piedmont Hawthorne, Triad Air, Greensboro Aviation, and a number of commuter airlines.
The Aviation Management & Career Pilot Technology Program can be completed in two years. Students can gain classroom and FAA approved flight simulator training in AST Hawk and GAT flight training devices. Students may also compete in regional NIFA competition and Aerospace Club as extracurricular activities. Tuition for in-state and out-of-state students is reasonable and local flight training costs are competitive. Financial Aid, VA benefits, and Scholarships are available through our financial aid department. |
