he Piedmont Triad is a fast growing transportation center, and many national trucking companies maintain terminals in this area. There are also dealerships and repair shops in the Triad for every make and type of truck and over-the-road tractor. Greensboro is also the home for Volvo North America, Inc. as well as Covington Detroit Diesel - - both of whom maintain a close working relationship with the Guilford Tech’s Medium/Heavy Duty Truck program.
Because of the concentration of transportation companies in this area, qualified technicians - - those who are trained to service, maintain, diagnose and repair over-the-road equipment - - are always in demand. |
