Welcome to the Transportation Systems Technology Division, where we offer a broad range of certificate, diploma and associate degree programs to prepare our graduates for careers in the Automotive, Medium / Heavy Duty Truck, Auto Body, Agricultural Equipment, and Aviation fields. Many of these programs offer a co-op training component, that allows the student to work -- for both pay and college credit -- in the field for which they are training. Our graduates have become leaders in their fields throughout North Carolina transportation industries.

Students training to become automotive, heavy truck, auto body, or aviation technicians are able to compete in local, state and National Skills USA / VICA contests against students from other colleges. GTCC students have won at the state level and placed very highly at the National level on many occasions. Pilot students have competed in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association regional competitions annually and several individuals have won awards.
