GTCC Childcare

The Children's Center serves approximately 75 children between the age of 6 weeks and 5 years. It is the Center's intent to serve children who represent a cross section of the community including those of various abilities and backgrounds - racial, ethnic, social, economic and religious.
The Children's Center has three basic purposes:
1. To serve as a demonstration training site for the Early Childhood Associate curriculum.
2. To assist students enrolled at GTCC and GTCC employees by providing child care services.
3. To provide quality care for the children enrolled.
The Children's Center is licensed by the North Carolina Department of Human Resources. It is inspected annually by the fire department, health department, and Division of Child Development. The Children's Center meets the optional higher standard for a five star license.
