Message from the Director

Jim Belk comes to the GTCC Foundation after retiring from BellSouth as Regional Director following 40 years of service. Jim is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a BS degree in Business Administration with scholastic honors: Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma. He brings with him extensive experience in community and statewide volunteer service. He currently serves as Chairman of the Greensboro Area and Convention Bureau; Vice-chairman of the Piedmont Triad Partnership Foundation; Director – Travel Council of North Carolina – just to mention a few of the organizations with which he is involved. He looks forward to welcoming each of you as a sustaining member of the Guilford Technical Community College Foundation. |

Margot Horney joined the staff after moving back to her home state of North Carolina. She had been living in New Jersey where she worked as assistant director in the Office of Alumni Relations at Montclair State University. Her current duties include reactivating the alumni program at Guilford Tech and ensuring the smooth operation of the Foundation Office.

Melissa Kinney serves as the Foundation bookkeeper, making certain all of the gifts from our generous donors are recorded properly and acknowledged promptly. She works part time as a DJ at WKXR-AM. Before she joined our staff, she worked as Office Manager for Care South in Asheboro. |
