Ways To Give
|
| Cash and Cash Equivalents |
The most common gifts are those of cash (and cash equivalents). The GTCC Foundation is able to accept donations via MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. The Foundation also welcomes gifts of securities.
All gifts of cash and cash equivalents are tax deductible as allowed by law. |

| Gifts-in-Kind |
| Some of the needs on the campus can be met through gifts-in-kind, donations of real and personal property, such as cars for our Automotive Department and other necessary supplies and materials. Please contact the Foundation to see if an item you are interested in donating fits the needs of our programs. |
| |
| Planned Gifts |
| Planned gifts, also called deferred gifts, can be arranged with the Foundation during a donor's lifetime although the benefits to the GTCC Foundation do not accrue until a later time. Bequests are the most frequent type of planned gift; others include trusts, life income plans and gifts of life insurance. |

| Matching Gifts |
Many corporations will match the gifts their employees make to Guilford Technical Community College Foundation. Donors seeking information about their employer's matching gift program should contact their human resources department. |
| |
| Memorial and Honorary Gifts |
A gift in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one is more than an expression of respect. There is no more meaningful way to honor a life than by a gift that continues to benefit others. Any gift, whether outright or planned, may be made in memory or in honor of someone. The Foundation will be glad to assist donors in choosing appropriate commemorations for any gift.
Families often request that memorial donations be sent to the GTCC Foundation. Such a tribute is appropriate even in the absence of a public request. Unlike other gestures of sympathy, a memorial contribution lives on in service to other people. |
