| Mission Statement |
The Guilford Technical Community College Foundation provides financial assistance to worthy students seeking their education, and to faculty and staff in areas not covered by state funds. The Foundation solicits and administers charitable gifts in accordance with the College’s mission and goals. Our mission is to help ensure educational excellence at Guilford Technical Community College.
North Carolina’s community colleges historically have been under funded. The level of North Carolina’s appropriation to community colleges continues to fall below the national average, despite the growing dependency on community colleges for workforce preparation and assistance with state and local economic development. We can survive on this funding, but cannot respond adequately to enrollment growth, emerging workforce needs, and developing technologies in the workplace.
The mission of the Foundation is to secure private funds to supplement ever diminishing state resources. We make certain that there are scholarships for students who would otherwise be unable to continue their education, underwrite new program initiatives so they will qualify for state funding, and equip new and renovated classrooms with the latest technologies. The Foundation also provides funding for professional development to make certain that our faculty and staff remain current with industry standards. This ensures that our students receive state-of-the-art training, preparing them for the demands of today’s workplace.
The Foundation was chartered in 1966 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. All gifts to the GTCC Foundation are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Receipts will be provided to all donors for their gifts.

| Gifts-In-Kind |
| The Foundation is the receiving agent for gifts-in-kind in support of programs and departments. These donations of equipment and materials can help to supplement the supplies available through state funding. However, there are occasions when GTCC is not in need of the donations our friends and supporters would like to make. To find out if your gift-in-kind could be fully utilized by the college, please contact us at the Foundation and we will direct you to the appropriate faculty/staff member. Often, these donations will be tax deductible, as allowed by federal law. |

The Office of the GTCC Foundation is located on the third floor of the Medlin Campus Center on the Jamestown Campus.
Our standard office hours are 8-5, Monday through Friday. |
