Placement Testing
An applicant or student who appears for the placement test prior to the closing time shown above will be admitted to begin the test. A COMPASS Card from the Admissions Department and a picture ID is required to be presented to sit for the test.
Course Testing
Make-up testing for instructors and testing for distance learning courses, such as on-line courses, cassette courses, and telecourses.
CLEP Testing
GTCC is a CLEP Test Site. CLEP tests are offered in a variety of subjects and offer students the opportunity to earn college credit for knowledge they acquired outside the conventional classroom, or from previous classroom experience. Students may obtain a CLEP information and application packet from the Assessment Center during normal operating hours. There is a charge for taking CLEP tests.
Career Exploration Testing
For students who are undecided about a career or program choice, the college offers the DISCOVER battery of inventories for exploring career areas, college choices, and individual personality traits and values, as well as likes and dislikes that identify career areas in which a student would tend to be successful. |
