GTCC offers the Associate of Fine Arts (A.F.A)degree in Pre-Drama with specialiaztions in Acting and Technical Theatre.
The degree is transferable to most four-years schools.
Our program is a two-year program for day students. GTCC is an open admissions institution.
Incoming students are tested for placement in college courses.
GTCC Pre-Drama majors take courses in English, History, Psychology, Math, Science, and Computer Skills along with courses in Drama. We offer small classes, individuals attention, and opportunities for production experience.
The Drama Faculty: The program director is Dr. William R. Lewis; a number of theatre professionals serve as adjunct faculty.
All Pre-Drama students participate in the GTCC Theatre Company.During a student's two years at GTCC, he or she may work with as many as three or four directors.
We have a new state-of-the-art theatre facility with a 100-seat flexible space theatre, classrooms, shops, a rehearsal hall, and support areas. |
