1. What is WebAdvisor?
WebAdvisor is a web interface integrated with Titan Cruiser that allows you to access information contained in Colleague, the database used by GTCC. All current (not new) students can use WebAdvisor through accessing Titan Cruiser. New students may access their Titan Cruiser account after classes begin. Back to Top 2. Is there a tutorial for WebAdvisor? Where can I learn more? Though WebAdvisor is pretty easy to use, there are tutorials. Since the time these tutorials were created the GTCC website has been redesigned. These tutorials still explain how to use Webadvisor. General Webadvisor Tutorial Webadvisor Payment Tutorial Back to Top 3. I can't register even though my appointment time has arrived. Why? If you are certain your appointment time has arrived, yet you still cannot register, you may have a financial hold on your account. You can check your financial holds by clicking on Account Summary or Account Summary by Term under the Financial Profile box on the left side of the screen. If you have a question about a financial hold, contact the Finance Office at (336) 334-4822 ext. 2604. You will need to come to campus to clear any holds on your account. Back to Top 4. I can’t find online classes when I’m using the Search for Classes function. WebAdvisor puts a session cookie on your desktop when you log into the system. When you close your browser, the cookie is erased. Back to Top 8. I am getting slow response to my WebAdvisor queries. What is the problem? There are a number of conditions that might affect your response time in WebAdvisor and Titan Cruiser. Often, an increase in the response time is related to Internet traffic. High levels of WebAdvisor and Titan Cruiser use by other members of your institution also affect your response time. This delay is also caused by the additional processing required of the on-campus machine to respond to WebAdvisor queries. An example of a high-use time period would be during your institution's Web registration period. You may also experience slower performance during peak usage periods for your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Back to Top 9. How do I access WebAdvisor? Current students can access WebAdvisor through My Titan Cruiser after registering and paying for their first class. Log in to Titan Cruiser using the usual log in id and your password. For more information on logging to My Titan Cruiser, visit this link. If you continue to have difficulty logging into My Titan Cruiser, please contact the helpdesk at (336) 334-4822 ext. 2133. Community users and new students can use WebAdvisor to access only the Search for Classes function. This function is located on the WebAdvisor tab of Titan Cruiser, just to the right of the Academics tab. Back to Top |
