eLearning Orientation

eLearning is planning a major Moodle upgrade just before the Summer 2012 semester.  The Moodle server will be offline between May 10-15.  Students will have access to both their summer courses and eLearning Orientation starting on the first day of classes on Wednesday, May 16th. Many online/webbed courses require students to complete eLearning Orientation and provide a certificate of completion during the first week of classes.
Students who have received their certificate during Fall 2011/Spring 2012 semesters can use the certificates from those semesters.

If a student is unable to access their online
classroom starting on the first day of classes, he or she should contact the instructor
immediately. Students are loaded into Moodle within 24 hours of registration during the drop/add period.

eDegree Programs

Students who are interested in one of the eDegree programs must complete the additional application steps located on the eDegree website. Go to the GTCC homepage, then click "Find Online Programs". The student must complete the "Steps to Apply" before he or she is considered an eDegree applicant. ACA-112, Introduction to Distance Learning, is the entrance requirement for all eDegree associate's degree programs.

Potential eDegree students must:

¨ Complete the online questionnaire

¨ Complete eLearning orientation

¨ Complete online SOAR and

¨ Email eDegree@gtcc.edu the certificates of completion from both eLearning Orientation and Online SOAR in order to be registered for ACA 112.

Students are not considered part of any eDegree associate's degreeprogram until they complete these steps and successfully pass ACA-112. Once that occurs, students are then part of one of the eDegree programs and allowed to register for online courses during priority registration dates for future semesters.

Registrations for the eDegree programs for Summer 2012 are limited based on the number of seats open for ACA 112.
