Office Hours

Financial Aid
Financial Aid at GTCC is in the form of: Grants, Scholarships, Loans, and College Work Study.

Procedure
All interested applicants must complete a GTCC Financial Aid Application, which includes the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form.

The priority application date is usually in March of each year. Applications will be accepted at any time; however, eligible recipients of aid may not receive their funds prior to enrollment if the application is filed after March. If aid is not awarded until after the term begins, the applicant is responsible for paying all tuition, fees and other expenses at the time of enrollment.

The Financial Aid staff will assist applicants in the application process, but will not complete the form for the applicant. Computers are available in the Financial Aid Office for student use in submitting the FAFSA via electronic media. Submitting the FAFSA application electronically reduces the time of return of the eligibility status and thus an earlier award, if eligible.

Financial Aid awards are determined each year and an application must be submitted annually during the period of enrollment. The financial aid year commences with the fall of each year and includes both spring and summer of the academic year.

For more information, visit the GTCC Financial Aid Office.

Payment
Payment may be made by check, credit card, or cash.

Book Return Policy
No returns on software purchases except for defective disks; however, there will be no refund-the disk will be replaced with a new one. Return in resalable condition with receipt. Full refund on textbooks returned in same condition as purchased with receipt within 10 days after classes start. After that a 48-hour return policy is in effect for returns during last 10 days of classes.

Book Buy Back Policy
Condition: Any book being sold back must be in good shape with binding, covers and every page intact. Excessive highlighting, underlining or other markings may decrease a book's buyback value.
Course Materials Order: If an instructor has requested your textbook for next term, then the value increases. Books falling into this category may be worth anywhere from 30% to 70% of the original purchase price. Generally speaking, textbooks will be purchased until we reach our shelf stock limit.

Overstocks and Current Editions Not Being Used on Campus: If we have reached our limit on a particular title for next term, or if your book has not been requested for next term and is a current edition, we will pay you the highest national market price.

About Old Editions: Publishers issue new textbooks quite frequently. Ordinarily when a new edition becomes available the old editions have little or no market value. While these types of books don't offer cash value, your book is far from being obsolete. Contact us to see what you can do to gain more value for your out-of-date textbooks.

Hours: Full-time buyback Mon-Thu, 8:00 am-8:00 pm, Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Contact the bookstore for specific dates for buyback.

Parking Permits/Decals
The bookstore will issue parking decals/permits after registration has ended. Students must complete all the required information on the registration permit and present a tuition receipt or ID before a decal will be issued.

Graduation Regalia
The bookstore carries the cap and gown, as well as invitations for graduation. Vendors are available on campus at announced dates and times for college rings.

For more information, please visit the Bookstore Online.
