Lead RRP Certification CourseLeadRRP

The EPA and the State of North Carolina requires that any contractors, painters, maintenance personnel, property managers and other paid workers must be trained and certified to practice lead-safe work procedures to prevent lead poisoning when doing renovations, construction or repairs in target housing and child-occupied facilities built before 1978.

In this 8 hour course, you will learn the regulations and have hands-on practice with lead-safe work procedures to protect yourself, your co-workers, and customers from potential lead exposure. Successful completion of an exam will allow you to apply to the State of North Carolina for your RRP Certification to continue to work on pre-1978 structures. The Center for Business and Industry at GTCC is sponsoring this course which will be trained by EPA and NC approved instructors from the National Center for Healthy Housing.
