Medicare Pre-Licensing Exam Prep

Under the approval of the NC Department of Insurance, this 12 hour course prepares and certifies you to sit for the State Licensing Examination for Medicare. Upon successful completion of this course, you will have the knowledge of types of Medicare, policy provisions, health insurance policies and relevant NC statutes and regulations.

Students MUST purchase books PRIOR to the first day of class. Requited textbook is:
MS/LTC Ins. Prelicensing Study Guide, from Rendleman Company.  Approximately $41 at Jamestown GTCC Bookstore.

Students who successfully complete the Medicare Pre-Licensing class will receive an Award of Completion. 

Requirements for Successful Completion:

  • Attendance: Must be in class 100% of class hours.

Students will be dropped from the class if they miss the first day and will not be eligible for refund.

The college will make a 100% refund of registration fees if you officially withdraw from class before the first meeting.  Also if the class is canceled or full, GTCC will make a full refund. 
The college will refund 75% of the registration fee (of tuition only) if you officially withdraw from the class on the first day of class or before the class reaches the census date.  The census date varies from class to class.  Non-attendance is not a basis for a refund.
