The program is designed to provide 2020 – 2021 Continuing Education license renewal courses for those already working in the Real Estate field. Continuing Education is a recurring annual requirement for all licensees wishing to maintain active license status eligibility that must be completed each license period by June 10th beginning with the first full annual license period after initial licensure.

Broker-In-Charge Update (BIC Up) Online via Microsoft Office Teams   

In order to renew your license on active status, Brokers-in-Charge must complete (8) hours of continuing education (CE) during each license period of July 1 – June 10. This is the mandatory 2020 – 2021 Broker-in-Charge Update Continuing Education Synchronous course #5821. Course content is changed every year in order to keep you current in subject areas such as fair housing, contracts, cybersecurity, provisional brokers on a team, law and rule updates, and licensing and education.

The student manual is included in the course registration fee. All courses are approved by the NC Real Estate Commission.

Instructional delivery format:  Online synchronously in Microsoft Teams “Live”                                             

Registration Deadline:  Two days prior to the class start date.    

After you have registered and paid for the course, you will receive an email the day before the class start date with a MS Teams link, inviting you to join the class as scheduled. 

Technology Requirements:  Students must use a desktop, laptop, surface or Chromebook to participate in this course. Students are not allowed to use their cell phones.

 Requirements for Successful Course Requirement:  

1. Students must keep their camera on at all times during class time.  
2. Upon entering the online course, students must type their name in the Chat Box (as it appears on their real estate license pocket card) along with their license number.
3. Students must be attendance of at least 90% of the instructional time.

GTCC will make a 100% refund of registration fees if you officially withdraw from class BEFORE the first class meeting. GTCC will refund 75% of the registration fee (of tuition only) if you officially withdraw from classes on the first day of classes OR before the class reaches the 10% point. The 10% point varies from class to class. To request a refund, please call Janice Troy at 336-334-4822 ext. 53024. If a class is canceled or full, GTCC will automatically process a full refund. Refunds are processed on a monthly basis. The College refund policy is established by state legislative action and is subject to change without prior notice to students.
