Ed2go/GTCC Online Instruction

Guilford Technical Community College offers engaging continuing education online courses, covering subject categories from computer applications to teaching and education. Each course has a listing of the course description, syllabus, requirements and costs. Your course instructor will be a subject matter expert and will guide you thru the curriculum information and student discussion areas.

You can access these courses anywhere you have access to the internet at the times that are most convenient to you. A new session of each course starts monthly. Courses run for six weeks and are composed of twelve lessons that become available on Wednesdays and Fridays, representing 24 hours of instruction. Your course discussion boards encourage you  to ask questions of your instructor or fellow online students in your course. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to download a certificate of completion.

  1. Go to the GTCC ed2go Home page and select “View Catalog.”
  2. Search for the course you are interested in by title or by subject category.
  3. Click on the course title to review the course “Detail, Syllabus, Requirements and Student Reviews.”
  4. Click on the "Add To Cart" button, selecting the “Session Date” of your choice, and then “Continue to Checkout.”
  5. You will then need to either login as a “Returning Student” or a “New Student” if you have not already done so.
  6. Select “Continue to Checkout.”
  7. Select “Checkout.”
  8. Read carefully the information and print if possible, the information you receive at the end of the enrollment process.

The cost of a course is $78.00.

After you register for a course in ed2go, you will receive an email from GTCC with instructions detailing payment options.

GTCC must receive your payment at least two days before the course start date.

You will receive a welcome email on the course start date after GTCC has verified your registration and payment information.

Go to GTCC ed2go and click on “My Classroom” and sign in with the user name and password you created to register for the course in ed2go.

The course does not require a textbook from the GTCC bookstore.

Each of the 12 lessons will have a quiz.

Students will need to take 10 out of the 12 quizzes, which must include quizzes #1 and #2.

Students must make a grade of 80% or greater on the first attempt of the final exam to be eligible to receive a satisfactory grade at GTCC and be eligible to print a certificate of completion.

All ed2go courses are 24 hours (2.4 CEU’s) unless otherwise noted. If you are seeking CEU credits, confirm with your licensing issuer whether or not the courses you are taking meet the CEU credit requirement.
