GTCC Welcomes You

Thank you for your interest in Guilford Technical Community College.

GTCC first opened its doors in 1958, offering those in our community the opportunity for affordable, career-focused education. Today we offer more than 80 programs of study and continue to support success through innovative education, training and partnerships. The college offers associate degrees, diplomas and certificates as well as noncredit courses in professional development, personal enrichment, job training, career development and basic education.

As the fourth largest of 58 institutions in the North Carolina Community College System, GTCC serves more than 35,000 students annually from six campuses and a Small Business Center.

The college is frequently cited by local economic development agencies as a key economic engine for Guilford County.  A 2017-2018 economic impact analysis found that GTCC added a total of $1 billion in income to the Guilford County economy.  The same report found that one out of every 25 jobs in Guilford County is supported by the activities of the college and its students.
