Path To Success – New and Reapplying GTCC Students
Please visit www.ncresidency.org to complete the residency application process. When you finish the residency determination form, be sure to write down your assigned Residency Certification Number (RCN). You will need to enter your RCN on the GTCC admission application in step 2.
After obtaining your RCN in step 1, please complete the GTCC Application for Admission.
GTCC APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
After you submit your application through CFNC, use the Application Status website to monitor your application status.
We recommend that all students apply for financial aid, which includes scholarships, Pell grants, and other grants. Visit the GTCC Financial Aid website to complete the FAFSA or get more information.
Placement testing is required unless you meet the Waiver Requirements. If you cannot waive placement testing, complete a Practice Test and Review and then schedule the test by visiting the Admissions Office.
About 48 hours after completing your application in step 2, you will be able to activate your GTCC Titan Account.
Once you have activated your Titan Account in Step 6, complete Orientation, where you will be advised on class registration.
Once you’ve completed orientation, the next step is to sign up for your First Advising Session. This is where you will learn how to register for classes, receive information about certain areas of the college, and meet with an advisor.
Once you have been advised, you can plan your schedule and register for available classes in WebAdvisor. Note that if you are interested in registering for one or more online classes, you will need to complete the Online Success Seminar before registering into an online course.
Register for ClassesTuition and fees must be paid by the payment due date listed here. You can pay online through WebAdvisor or at the Cashier’s Office.
